Remote interpreters
Remote interpreters for your event
Remote Simultaneous Interpretation (RSI), also known as online interpretation, has experienced an enormous boost since the outbreak of the Corona pandemic. It is performed by professional conference interpreters, working online. When travel restrictions made it impossible to hold on-site meetings or conferences, new ways of ensuring a multilingual exchange with the support of professional remote interpreters had to be found. In the meantime, Zoom and hybrid conferences have become the new normal. However, there is still a great deal of uncertainty about the possibilities and advantages of remote or video conferences. Many new providers and platforms offer this service, but do they meet the necessary quality requirements in terms of technology, security and quality of interpretation?
AIIC, the international association of conference interpreters, is participating in the development of new quality standards for remote interpretation of video conferences, and has published a reference guide for RSI with recommendations as to the requirements that need to be met in order to ensure that your video conference with interpretation is a success.
