Translation of a document

Translation of a document

As an experienced, qualified translator, I offer flawless translations delivered on time in many language combinations and areas of specialisation. Request a quote and I will be happy to provide you with a non-binding offer.

How to proceed?

Nowadays, documents are rarely translated based on paper copies of the original – with the exception of diplomas, to give one example. Documents  for translation are usually sent to the translator as a scan or electronic file. If the original only exists as a paper copy, I will adapt the layout of my translation to the original document to the largest extent possible.

Deadlines

The time a written translation will take depends on the degree of complexity and the length of the original text. A translator will be able to translate roughly 2000 words (approx. 4 A4 pages of text) per day. Many clients want their translations ready that same day, ideally, forgetting that quality suffers when a job is rushed through without allowing adequate time for proofreading. My English translations are always proofread by a native English speaker. I will provide you with translations that are flawless with regard to both content and language, and deliver the finished translations within the time frame agreed. If you do not have a particular deadline, I will suggest one for you, making sure that you receive the finished translation as quickly as possible.

Non-Disclosure

Translators are bound by confidentiality. Should you require a specific, assignment-related non-disclosure agreement, I am happy to prepare one for you or sign your company-specific NDA.
